...

The reason for us not posting is that we were all tragically hospitalized after a wild night involving a gavel and an angry badger.

i have a shopping problem.

Well hey there all! In the past few days, I have begun the search for the perfect outfits for my upcoming super-hipster festivities. What are these activities you may ask? Well I will tell you! Tomorrow evening (Wednesday) Heather and I will be attending the Vampire Weekend show with some of our pals from TCU. This weekend, the three wheels will venture to Austin, Texas for Austin City Limits. SO. EXCITED. Anyways, this 3 day event calls for some new updates to the wardrobe... So here are a few of the items I have gotten for said events...
Left: Pale yellow crop top with pocket (i realize it is orange, but it was the only picture of the top online)**
Middle: Red and white striped high-waisted full skirt**
Right: High-waisted mint colored shorts, with zippers on the sides.
**Heather and I bought the crop top/skirt together for a theme day at school, but we bought them in regards to wearing them again.

Anyways, hope that happiness has been abundant for everyone this week. It has been all kinds of stressful for the three of us, but hey, only 2 days 'til the weekend :)

Love,
SG

P.S. Heather and I saw Kristen at the mall tonight! How fun! Excited for ACL!!

Sunday

This is something I wrote a while ago, but it says exactly what I want to say now, so here it is.

You Know You Have One Near Me
A wise owl knows that when the first wind blows,
the rain is soon to follow.
And when the time comes, when the night hides the sun,
Will you have shelter to last til’ ‘morrow?
As the first droplet plops over field and mountain tops,
and your fur is wet and weary.
Will you shake it all off and search for a home,
“You know you have one near me.”
As the trees hum along to the sad rain song,
and they tremble and shake, sad and dreary.
Can you hear the advice that the old owl cries,
“You know you have one near me.”
When lightning falls soft and clear and the forest comes to pause,
do you quiver and clench your small claws?
And in your make-shift house with the rabbit and mouse,
does the pitter-patter sound like applause?
With your head hung low, your heart-string’s bow plays:
“You know you have one near me.”
And when the dawn never breaks, and the puddles turn to lakes
“You know you have one near me.”
