The reason for us not posting is that we were all tragically hospitalized after a wild night involving a gavel and an angry badger.

i have a shopping problem.

Well hey there all! In the past few days, I have begun the search for the perfect outfits for my upcoming super-hipster festivities. What are these activities you may ask? Well I will tell you! Tomorrow evening (Wednesday) Heather and I will be attending the Vampire Weekend show with some of our pals from TCU. This weekend, the three wheels will venture to Austin, Texas for Austin City Limits. SO. EXCITED. Anyways, this 3 day event calls for some new updates to the wardrobe... So here are a few of the items I have gotten for said events...
Left: Pale yellow crop top with pocket (i realize it is orange, but it was the only picture of the top online)**
Middle: Red and white striped high-waisted full skirt**
Right: High-waisted mint colored shorts, with zippers on the sides.
**Heather and I bought the crop top/skirt together for a theme day at school, but we bought them in regards to wearing them again.

Anyways, hope that happiness has been abundant for everyone this week. It has been all kinds of stressful for the three of us, but hey, only 2 days 'til the weekend :)

Love,
SG

P.S. Heather and I saw Kristen at the mall tonight! How fun! Excited for ACL!!

Sunday

This is something I wrote a while ago, but it says exactly what I want to say now, so here it is.

You Know You Have One Near Me
A wise owl knows that when the first wind blows,
the rain is soon to follow.
And when the time comes, when the night hides the sun,
Will you have shelter to last til’ ‘morrow?
As the first droplet plops over field and mountain tops,
and your fur is wet and weary.
Will you shake it all off and search for a home,
“You know you have one near me.”
As the trees hum along to the sad rain song,
and they tremble and shake, sad and dreary.
Can you hear the advice that the old owl cries,
“You know you have one near me.”
When lightning falls soft and clear and the forest comes to pause,
do you quiver and clench your small claws?
And in your make-shift house with the rabbit and mouse,
does the pitter-patter sound like applause?
With your head hung low, your heart-string’s bow plays:
“You know you have one near me.”
And when the dawn never breaks, and the puddles turn to lakes
“You know you have one near me.”

all Yays no Nays

Sadly, the weekend has once again come to a close. As i sit here, "doing homework", i can already feel the stress of the week creeping in. (Sketch book. Moby Dick. Scarlet Letter Paper. boo
Reflecting on the passing weekend, i thought it would be nice to touch on a few 'yays', if you will, of the two-and-a-half days of freedom awarded to me at the end of each week.
((Pause. I have a problem. I'm addicted to making lists. For those of you who have read the few posts i have contributed to this joint blog, clearly can see this growing and unbreakable habit! I just wanted to halt and publicly apologize for my actions. Also, the lists wont be stopping. I like them...secretly. So. sorry...))
the goods.
As you can see, it was neon out at the tca football game friday night.

Although our beloved trojans suffered a tough loss(as they like to put it every monday morning when the results are being announced to the school)the boys played hard. We cheered hard. It was an all around good time. NOTE- the fantastic matching shirts. Very much a YAY in my weekend.
{photo taken in the Cayman Islands two summers ago}
Okay so this perfect family(minus dad- Jeff love him) belongs to my amazing cousin Kristen.
I've been super depressed the last couple of days and Kristen has just been so sweet to me. Not only sending me a cookie arrangement but shopping with me at Northpark with all her precious kids:
((Cookies are good Medicine&Ben))
We shopped at Madewell and i got many wonderful things:
something i got:
this amazing dress for fall
something i want:
i would kill for these boots. love at first sight for sure.

after my much needed retail therapy, my Saturday was finished with dinner at Grand Lux accompanied by dear friend. Peyton and i ate so much it was difficult for us to walk afterwords...not kidding.
{side note: lots of schools apparently had Homecoming this weekend because there were millions of groups sitting around us at the restaurant. Let me just say, the dresses now days? WAY.TOO.SHORT people! like really! how old are we? 17? 18? Your dress does not have to be literally up your behind for you to look good at this shindig. When you're getting your HC10 dress this year, do us all a favor, don't get in 2 inches from your buttcheeks...please and thank you}
We somehow made it out and went to my home to watch a few movies. Little did we know, tragic occurrences were soon to come. Flipping through the newest's on iTV, we stumbled upon the movie 'Chloe'. Now from the preview this movie looks pretty normal. Thinking it was a typical scary film, we watched it. This is no NORMAL film people. All i'm going to say is it is strange and should not be viewed by anyone...ever.
To get the weirdness out of our minds, Peyton and I then turned on 'The Crazies'. Much less strange. Just dumb and scary. Pretty good though...
{even with the 'Chloe' situation...Saturday was a YAY}

Not too much to say about Sunday. except the amazing weather that met me when i walked outside.
with a high of 76 and a low of 55. it. was. perfect.

Another hard week coming my way, just trying to keep my head up as best i can.
Love you all forever.
Heath.

I love gifs.

Sorry its Been so Long

well friends, its been a while. last sunday i had a wonderful blog all typed up and perfected...THEN, my father(Jon)decided to work on my computer {my hard drive is like dead(rip)}. long story short he unintentionally deleted the post. it was tragic.
reason number two that i have not blogged in quite a while- i feel like my life is literally
falling apart. you know those times when you actually think nothing can get worse...THEN IT DOES
 school, friends, boys(boy actually...rip again...but he didn't actually die don't worry...)etc.
my philosophy on all this is just find the things that make you smile
and fill your life up with them.
{for example}
Kate Nash makes me very happy(like i wish i was her). so i listen to her cds on repeat.
its awesome.
for any of you out there experiencing a breakup, keep your head up- im here with ya.
for those of you who have in the past, please tell me it gets better?
and for the rest of you, we all hate you so just leave...
all i can do is live learn and move on. life is too short for tears.

{special shout out to 1-my lovely cousin Kristen who has been consoling me all day, 2- my fantastic sister Lindsey who gives the best advice in the world and 3- my perfect mother who is just. perfect.
 l o v e ya'll}
sorry i'm so gloomy on this beautiful Thursday!
the weekend is on the way!

Love Love Love,

Riff Ram Bah Zoo

This fine weekend I had the pleasure of making my way out to TCU to see some of my dear friends (Beebs, Tanner, Trip, etc.) and to meet new ones! It was a good time.

The visit started of with purchasing a shirt for the football game against baylor and eating lunch with berbz!

Then we went to some tailgates and hit up the big game!

which was really hot...

After the game, which TCU won 45-10, we went out to dinner as a group and hit up sundance square, aka downtown ft. worth. Eventually, we made our way back to the crief the dorm and watched hours upon hours of southpark. TIMMY. Trip took a tumble...

Now the cowboys are playing, the sun is shining, and it's a lazy Sunday. Je suis contente. Au revoir pour le moment mon amies!

Solo

This morning I woke up at 6am (SMITBH) to go do construction work in Frisco for Habitat For Humanity. We are building a house for a nice lady, her son, and her two moms. You read that right. Anyways. I spent 5 hours 10ft in the air painting a house lavender and white. After I got home from that I slept from 1-5pm and woke up to find my phone BUZZING with texts. After sorting out my plans for the night I ended up running downtown to see the opening of a show at the Dallas Contemporary Gallery. Mind Blown.
Kit Reisch
Gabriel Dawe
Gabriel Dawe
Ruben Nieto
Cindy Santos Bravo
Jen Rose
Needless to say I had a good night. After that I browsed the local papers to see what, if any, events were coming up that caught my eye. The winner? Midget Wrestling.

After the show they were handing out fragrance samples of "Shameless Redneck Idiot" by Calvin Klein.

Thats about it. I hope you're all doing well.

SHOUT OUT TO MY HOMELESS PEEPS

Nighty McTwocurls checking himself out

Dear Nighty,
How's it hanging (literally)? Did you find enough cans today? I noticed you got some new shoes and a cute new top. Something was missing though... Oh! That's right! PANTS. WHERE ARE YOUR PANTS? OR AT LEAST UNDERWEAR. All Shae and I were trying to do was enjoy a nice sandwich at Hunky's and all the sudden: FLASHED. Seriously. The boys were out to play. We were in shock. It was all around good times. Anyways, hope this letter finds you in good health.

Friday31

We obviously like music way too much. I, for one, like free music. Here's some linky goodness:
Chemical Jump
Stoney Roads
RCRDLBL
Pretty Much Amazing
White Folks Get Crunk
Chrome Music

These are my favorites. If you haven't done this before...Just right click on the song link on each respective website, and you can download the link for free to your laptop.
Also, we are not responsible for the content of any website we link to on here. If they have something offensive on their site, complain to them. Just saying.

I'm ready for winter. I'm ready for jacket weather and apple cider. I'm ready for freezing snow and dying leaves. I'm ready for jumping into ice cold cars, fumbling to turn on the heater. I'm ready for big warm blankets and campfires. I'm ready for summer to leave, and for the year's prettiest season to begin. I feel time slipping through my fingers like water. Sometimes I wish it would just stop and crystallize on my palms, reminding me of time past and things done, but then it melts and washes away. I'm ready to go.

thursday.

asdf

I probably wont sleep tonight.
In between wed/thurs.
pooooopsicles.

More Ahhhhhchoos

Day two of illness(boo). Being sick can be the worst but today, rather than all day of TV, i found a few other things to get me by. One being the wonderful world of
social networking.

Now for any of you old farts that say social networking is a dirty word because it(along with texting)is changing ruining the whole social interaction experience can please suck it
If you have this wrong opinion then you are either:
A. 40 years of age or older(and not like cool middle age and up...like...old fart)
B. bitter because you have 4 Facebook friends and no one wants to 'fallow' you
C. A total loser
Social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter are around to enhance the world of socializing! Don't be a hatter! Just accept that it's awesome...

Also getting me past sick day number two was my precious puppy Bailey:

(Photo taken last year when it snowed. She loved the snow. Loved.)
She is kind of my BFF...leading into the next thing getting me by-
All the people in my life that can always make me smile:
first- my actual bff: Shae

(Photo taken while we were in the wonderful land of Kenya this summer.)
Poor little Shae-bay-bay was sickly as well today. A few phone convos with her were just enough to lift both our spirits.
Second- My beautiful Mother
(Photo taken in Sea Side Florida this summer. Mother daughter trip style.)
Linda sat with me all afternoon just to chat. Though i don't always show it, i love her
with all my heart.
Third- The BF, Drew
(Photo taken at my lake house this summer...can summer just come back?)
Drew recently decided to move 10 hours away from me(he actually is in school at Samford University in Alabama)and i was pretty pissed about it! But i guess its okay...
He's super far and i get to see him like never, but he still somehow manages to be the best boyfriend in the world. Even when i'm a psycho angry mess. I love/miss him.

Lastly, assisting me to not be crazy down in the dumps was the spectacular weather granted to us from the big man upstairs
it was a lovely 88 degrees when i got in my car to take a drive(lets be honest...i was going to
Chic-Fil-A).
Good weather can turn my whole day into a positive.
But for that matter so can anything. Always look at the bright side of things and everything will just work out. i promise.
Much Love, Heather.

Sneezy Kinda Tuesday

Well today i woke myself up at a lovely 6:30AM, only to discover i was in fact quite ill. Fighting trough the pain, i pulled myself from my bed and went to school. Sadly the whole learning thing lasted through first period.
Then i left.
My day turned into a long sleepy time on the couch. Though it wasn't productive, i left the couch only 4 times- all to retrieve food from the next room.
Today i watched a totally of 10 hours of TV.

1. Starting off strong with some Rachel Zoe Project
i learned all i need to know about fashion (love you Rachel Zoe)
 2. Jersey Shore made an appearance with their guido fabulousness
totally want to be them when i grow up.
3. Keeping up with the Kardashians literally holds my attention for years.

like, why are they so hott?
4. The glorious 6th season of Gray's Anatomy
Oh stop Derrick! You're so dreamy

With the help of with lots of other stimulating shows, i successfully made it through my sick day(hooray).
Also this is Brandon expressing how i felt today.
(sorry to all reading that my blogging kinda sucks....)
much love, Heather.
